Everything from how much classes cost, important calendar dates, and class requirements, this page will inform you as you start your journey at SDC!

Spring Registration and Tuition Information

Spring registration cost:

  • The Spring registration fee is $15 per student.

  • The maximum registration fee per family, regardless of the number of children, is $30.

Tuition cost per hour:

  • Tuition will be charged based on the number of hours students are enrolled in.

  • Families with multiple children registered will receive a discount of 5%

Semester duration:

  • The Spring semester consists of 15 full weeks of classes.

Monthly installment plan:

  • The total cost for the semester will be divided and spread across four months.

  • Tuition payments will be collected on the second Monday of each month.

  • The installment dates for the Spring semester are as follows:

  • February 12th

  • March 11th

  • April 8th

  • May 13th

Non-refundable tuition:

  • Please note that all tuition payments are non-refundable.

Important Dates

Simplified Schedule for Spring Semester 2024:

  • Classes run for 15 weeks

  • Start: January 29th

  • End: June 3rd

Holiday Breaks (no classes):

  • Spring/Easter Break: March 25-April 6th

  • Performance Break: May 8th-May 14th

  • Memorial Day: May 27th

Makeup Week (as needed):

  • June 4th-8th

Parent Observation Week (only Beginning Ballet level and up)

  • May 20th-May 25th

Summer Classes Begin:

  • TBD

Required Classes

(pre-professional levels)

  • modern contemporary dance classes in Lancaster for kids

    Levels A2 & B

    • At least 2 ballet technique classes

    • At least 1 modern or contemporary class

    • Optional Pointe 1/Pre-Pointe

    These are the minimum required classes, we recommend taking as many classes at your level as possible.

  • modern contemporary dance classes in Lancaster for kids

    Level C

    • At least 2 ballet technique classes

    • Contemporary with Emmanuel on Tuesdays

    • At least 1 other modern or jazz class

    • Pointe II recommended for dancers en pointe.

    These are the minimum required classes, we recommend taking as many classes at your level as possible.

  • modern contemporary dance classes in Lancaster for teens

    Level D

    • At least 3 ballet technique classes

    • Contemporary with Emmanuel on Tuesdays

    • At least 1 other modern or jazz class

    • Pointe III and Stretch & Strengthen recommended for advanced dancers.

    These are the minimum required classes, we recommend taking as many classes at your level as possible.
