The Snow Queen is a fairytale ballet, inspired by the classic Hans Christian Andersen story, with choreography by Shari Vegso. Set to sweeping musical selections by Jean Sibelius, dancers of all ages bring to life the story of a young heroine who embarks on a courageous journey to rescue a young man taken from her town by dark and icy forces. Along the way, she encounters a host of intriguing, fearsome, and spirited characters as she travels toward the Snow Queen’s frozen domain. Her adventure culminates in a breathtaking and perilous snowstorm, where beauty and menace collide, and where the heroine’s strength, resilience, and identity are ultimately forged.
